Youth

What?

2nd Reformed Church Youth Ministry (7th-12th Grade) exists to follow Christ in his mission of loving people. We seek to partner with parents as we help them understand who Jesus calls them to be, to engage in the lives of their students, and engage in the life of 2RC. We want to see students grow in relationship with Christ by understanding who he is is, what he said, and how he lived. 2RC Youth Ministry seeks to be a community for students to fellowship with each other and to be integrated into the body of 2nd Reformed Church. Our hope is to see students grow in their faith through discipleship and then to go back out and disciple their peers.

How?

We will seek to be distinctly Reformed in our approach to youth ministry, meaning we will be dedicated to the ordinary means of grace (i.e. prayer and bible study as God ordained means of spiritual formation). Students will also be given opportunities to serve their church and community through different events and projects. 2nd Reformed Church also rotates national and international mission trips that students are able to go on.

When?

Youth Group meets at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights from October through April at 2nd Church. Come at 5:30 p.m. for a free meal. On Wednesday nights we will gather as a large group to discuss different topics and play games.

Small groups meet on Monday nights (Jr. High - 6pm; Sr. High - 7:30pm) throughout the school year and Wednesday mornings (Jr. & Sr. High - 9 a.m.) in the Summer. Together we gather to fellowship study God’s Word. We work through a book of the bible for our studies and talk about life.
